We are explorers... and the most compelling frontier of our time is human consciousness. Our Quest is the discovery of vision for humanity which integrates science and spirituality, and in so doing, reminds us of our wholeness and connectedness, not only to each other and to the Earth but to the inner self most particularly.Dear Unity Friends and Guests,
The spiritual path echoes Carl Jung's thoughts when he writes, "there are several ways to lose ones soul", and one of those ways is to worship a God outside of yourself... a path humanity has been taking since the beginning of time.
Meister Eckhart, the medieval German mystic says that we must learn to penetrate things and find God there. Prayer, the entering into reality, is entering into God for that is where God is. Suffering is as much a revelation of God's presence as is Joy. If God is so omnipresent, then Kabir is right to laugh when the fish says he is thirsty!
The spiritual path also echoes Jesus' promise and challenge to "seek first His kingdom, and all these things shall be yours as well (Matthew 6:33). It is time to rejoice and laugh when we hear that God's spirit is moving us to a more mystical prayer life; a life where we truly enter the depth of God, a God who is in all and all that is in God (1 Corinthians 15:28).
In the Spirit of Unity and in loving service,
Dr. Maya
